E-learning Accreditations

Hi my fellow e-learning designers!

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on recognised e-learning qualifications: what to go for/ any courses you would recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Charlie, I usually like to know that the designer has knowledge of some Instructional Design Basics, such as the ADDIE model or the ABCD method of building objectives. It doesn't matter too much to me which methodologies they prefer, as long as they are familiar with some of the basics.

For courses, etc., I am a member of the Association for Talent Development (td.org), and they have some pretty well-recognized certificates. Whether someone wants to just learn some stuff, or whether they want to earn a certificate, their library of courses is a great place to start. I will say, as someone trying to earn their CPTD (formerly known as CPLP) I can tell you their certificate programs are no joke, and someone who has earned one does know their stuff!
