Editing screenshots ... what do you use?

Hey all, I am currently using Adobe Fireworks to edit screenshots and Adobe no longer makes/supports the product. I like the fact that I can easily edit one screenshot, then copy my edits and quickly paste them in place on additional screenshots; and editing is SIMPLE.
I've looked at a few other editing programs, including SnagIt, but they all seem to lack the ability to paste-in-place. For example, if I draw a rectangle over something in my screenshot and it's positioned at ... 200(x), 45(y), when I go to paste that rectangle on the next screenshot it gets pasted at 0,0.
Photoshop is really overkill for what I need, but I could use it if I "had to."
What do y'all use? Paste In Place is a MUST.

Hi there!
I have used SnagIt in the past and I thought that paste in place was working, but you may be right. From what I am seeing it is still in development. Another one to try is Jing, though, and that paste in place may work.

Screenpresso is an alternative to Snagit, and has a free version.
I've never used Sketch, but have read that it is a good alternative to Fireworks.
