I am new to this community. I want to start building my portfolio by participating in some of the challenges. My challenge is I don't have Articulate. I also don't own a Windows computer. I don't have the funsavory to invest in Parallels or Bootcamp software to run software that's only for Windows. I also don't have the funds to afford Articulate. Are there any articulate hero challenges that will allow me to use PowerPoint? Will providing PowerPoint examples make me less marketable in the future when looking for jobs?
Hi Shakis - You can certainly use PowerPoint ( or any other tool) for 90% of the challenges. The challenges are about solving common e-learning challenges so any tool that lets you communicate visual and interactive solutions would work.
Even the interactive challenges could be solved by mocking up design comps to show how you'd approach the challenge in a more robust authoring tool.
Here are some popular challenges that could easily be created in PowerPoint:
