Elearning modules with notes that can be emailed

Dec 02, 2014

I have an idea.  I'd like to include the ability to take notes, using a TinyMCE editor (or something similar that includes the ability to add images into a text box) and have the notes emailed to the user.

To me, it seems that the note taking apps or functionality found in most eLearning programs don't have the functionality I'm looking for.  I had the idea when viewing a Lynda.com course.  I realized I was taking notes while the course was playing and now I want to add the same functionality to my modules.

Does anybody have an idea on if this is ever used?  I think if my users had the ability to take notes along side the module, they could email the notes back to themselves and archive those notes (if needed).

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there Ike!

Thanks for posting your question here in the community. Great one!

The ability to add notes is a really cool feature that people have talked about here in the forums in the past.

One of our awesome community members, Stephanie Harnett, came up with a great way to let users take notes and then print and email those notes. It's right here in this discussion: User notes they can print and email.

Hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction. Good luck!
