Provided you just want to play the presentation as a video and not have any user interactions it can be done. I'm using storyline 2. First publish your project and open the published version ready to start on screen. Now create a new project and on the 'Insert' tab select 'record screen'. Play your project. Once your recording is complete, choose 'Insert as single slide' from the options. Now publish this project with a new name. In the storyline folder that it creates, go to the 'Story Contents' folder. In there, there will be an MP4 (usually the biggest one) which is your video. Hope this helps. You can also record audio etc and have that included in the output.
