Facing challenges with making a screencast

Hi everyone, 

I'm trying to use Articulate Storyline 2 to make a screencast which orients learners to the LMS and shows them how to access their courses, etc. I've followed some instructions online, and from an articulate storyline 2 training course I've done, but I just keep ending up with a blue screen, rather than what I thought I was recording. 

I've tried using multiple web browsers, dropping off my dual screen, but still I just get a plain blue screen when previewing the screencast. 

Any tips, solutions or links to guides would be most appreciated.
