Feedback/Suggestions on Mock Course/Instructional Design Career Building

Nov 26, 2018

Hi eLearning Heroes!

Currently working on building a portfolio to hopefully secure an instructional design position... I am an educator, and am learning elements of instructional design optimized for adult learners. I made a mock course just to experiment with Storyline 360 and working in a Parallel Windows setting on my Mac, and would love some feedback on what I've done so far, and on building a portfolio to secure an instructional design position! Please send any thoughts my way! Thanks in advance.

Hi Kaitlyn,

Good on you for picking up on a new skill!

Course looks like it has promise.

I would consider things like accessibility, having text against a contrasting background. Makes it much easier to read.

I would advise against using slanted text also!

Much like teaching the younger generation consider aims and objectives. What do you want to achieve?

What is ok to skip through and what must they interact with?

Use a consistent theme and limit the number of colours you use to create a nice feel :)
