I have set of learning modules that all use a Flash.swf introduction, but the odd time it plays (1 for every 15 plays), the Flash appears smaller and uncentered. I've noticed this other modules that use differnt Flash intros, so I don't think it is this specific introduction.
Has anyone encountered this problem and have any ideas on how to fix this?
Hi Ian, this normally happens if you have resized the flash after inserting into articulate. The best solution I have found is to ensure you create your swf to the correct dimensions you need prior to inserting.
It is almost as if it is a buffering issue. The swf takes about 5-10 seconds to load. Then when it finally comes in it's the wrong size and in the wrong position (smaller and to the top left).
Off-stage elements mean that if, in Flash, you have elements hanging out off stage but still visible, they might show up in Articulate under certain circumstances. For example, if you have a 320x240 stage, and have an object with an x prop value of 340, Articulate will not ignore it and it will show up on your slide.
It could be that there is some hitch with the player loading and the Flash movie loading.
Are you using a custom player skin?
Have you inserted the Flash movies to play independently or synchronize to slide?
I assume the Flash movies are on Slide 1? Have you tried moving the Flash movies to a later slide, say Slide 4 or 5, to see if you get the same results?

I re-inserted the Flash files into Articulate and made sure to keep the same dimensions, but this error continues to occur. Any other thoughts?

is your swf 720 x 540
these might help http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter09/kb/?p=76
Yes, the dimensions of the swf are 720 x 540. I feel like I have followed these guidelines.
hmmm
Look at this:
What does this mean, exactly?
I have the position of my Flash shifted .01 pixels to the right, so it cuts off a random white line. Could this be causing the problem?
