Flashing arrow in order to validate a choice in a drag and drop : which trigger ?

Mar 25, 2016

Hello,

I created a drag and drop and I would like a flashing arrow to appear when ALL the 6 objects of this drag and drop become draged over, so that the learner knows he must click on a button in order to validate his choice.

Thus, I created a trigger (please see atached file : layer entitled "Show layer flèche valider 1") but the flashing arrow does not appear. I think I forgot something in this trigger but I do not know what (condition ?) ;)

Does anyone of have an idea to solve this problem?

Thank you in advance,
Christophe

Hi there Christophe! I set up an example file that shows how to do this if you want to see an example.

- I added 3 shapes for drag items

- I created a "Visited" state (which looks exactly the same as the "Normal" state) for each drag item

- I added 3 shapes to be the drop targets

- I converted the slide into a freeform drag and drop

- I assigned the drag items and drop targets in the form view

- I created a layer called "Arrow" with the arrow shape on it

- I added a trigger that says "Show the "Arrow" layer when the state of all drag items is equal to Visited"

Then when you preview once each drag item has been clicked it becomes "visited" = once they've all been clicked and dragged the arrow layer appears.

Here's an example of the published output, and I've attached the .story file if you want to take a closer look at my file.

Hope this helps - best of luck! Let me know if you have additional questions.

Hi Nicole,

Thank you very much.

I followed your advice. But I note that the learner must click on all the drags but also that the arrow appears even if he has not draged all the drags.

According to you, shall we add conditions in the trigger (the learner must click + drag) ? I tried to test this but unsucessful.
