I've been playing with some ideas for getting away from submit buttons on quizzes. Rather than giving learners more time to reflect on each question, I thought I'd help them boogie through the quizzes faster.
Using convert to freeform, I created a 4-choice slide that submits the interaction when each choice is visited.
The quiz features editable buttons, custom results slide, and a color theme that you can update for your own projects.
Maybe I am the only person who has been a little stymied by this in the past...but here goes in case it helps anyone else. When I download files (including this one from Montse), they sometimes come across with a .zip extension. When unzipped with WinZip, I got a set of files and directories I didn't understand what to do with. Now I realize I have to rename the zip file with a .story extension rather than a .zip extension and open them as normal in Storyline.
I believe that's due to network and browser settings. Any chance you're downloading the files from a corporate environment? What happens if you try downloading with a different browser? Is it always the same?
Thanks for commenting, Montse. I am not in a corporate environment. Will try downloading with a different browser when it happens again. It only happens occasionally. Not a big deal to change the file extension, but I am just puzzled at why it ever happens.
As a further comment, it is interesting (to me at least) that you can take any .story file, rename it with a .zip extension, unzip it and it will give you a directory and file structure like the one in the attached image.

This is great Montse....Thanks for sharing :D
That's a great idea and beautiful, clean design. Love it! :)
Just wondering - where you sitting in a coffee shop or bakery when you had the idea? ;))
Thank you, Ashi!
Nice and clean design as always Montse. Thx for sharing! Bonus points for using the "boogie through" phrase. Haven't heard that in a long while. :)
Thanks, David! I will gladly accept the bonus points LOL!
Beautiful design! Can I shuffle the choices? It looks like the choice order is fixed. Thank you.
Paula - that's correct. Looks like you'd need to add your text choices to the button objects if you want to enable the shuffle options.
This is lovely! And I agree with you: the Submit button can be a drag. This is a much snappier approach for us instant gratification junkies.
Nicely done! And do I detect Death to the Stock Photo?

This is fantastic, Montse! Like you and Trina, I'm submit-button phobic. That extra non-intuitive click doesn't do it for me.
I also love your super quick and attractively graphic feedback. And the cupcake ipsum. :)
Thanks so much for sharing it!
Love this idea for end-of-lesson reviews to help users recap the material! Thanks so much for sharing.
Now, off to go get a pastry!
Thank you, Jackie!! Cupcake Ipsum always says what I'm feeling better than I can.
