I am looking for free software that is able to convert an .swf into an mp3 file without a hassle.
Anyone some ideas? I allready installed Any converter, but this software wasn't capable of opening an .swf file because it was 'not native'. And it installs some malware as well...
Bah. Looks like it won't do SWF to MP3. Lots of other format transforms though. For the original request, you might try just playing the file into Audacity. Setup your internal audio as an input as described in this post:
Thinking that a simple search would give me a wonderful program to convert SWF to MP3, I found that most programs on offer won't do what they're supposed to do, are spam-ware, or just outright trojans/virusses that badly mess up your system!! WATCH OUT!
But behold, I eventually found myself a FREE and super useful online tool that converts SWF to MP3 and much more!!
I just converted a Youtube video to MP3 and I am seriously amazed by the crystal clear quality of the MP3 it created (high quality setting used....it also offers a "very high" option)
Hi everyone. Thanks all of you for your attention and time to reply to my question.
Found a neat piece of software in the shape of Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate (free download, trail version).
There is a 'downside' to it: the trail version can convert no more than 3 minutes of (in my case) audio.
Despite this: I managed to batch-convert a folder with over 50 .swf files (off course, all of them shorter than 3 minutes...) to mp3's with good to very good quality (as far as I can conclude).

Hi Rutwin,
What I like about this is that you don't have to download any software. However am I missing something... nothing happens when you click the "convert" button.
I've just tried the conversion and this worked fine for me. Have you tried the conversion using another browser to see if this solves the issue? (I use Chrome)
If the conversion still doesn't work in another browser, then please test a conversion of a smaller file...maybe the upload of your file didn't work or wasn't completed.

Hi Marcel -
You might give this tool a try:
https://cloudconvert.org/
Not sure how it handles SWF > MP3 but the supported formats list looks outstanding.

Bookmarking CloudConvert now. I could have really used that a month ago!

Have you tried Format Factory? It's been a while since I used it, but I think it had the ability to convert from swf to mp3. Windows only, though.
