Hello, 

We are a Training and Development consulting firm in the Chicago suburbs seeking a virtual part-time (5-10 hours/week), W-9 contract Learning Websites Administrator to start ASAP, working from home.  The position supports our Ascendis Learning Connection online training portal and the expert partners who provide course content. This position is ideal for someone serious about consulting, as we need continuity.   Rate will be discussed during initial phone screen with candidates who resumes meet qualifications.  Here are key responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Assist Ascendis experts with gathering/posting new events and materials on the Ascendis website pages

• DRG and Ascendis Portals:  Use image editing software (e.g., Photoshop) to edit for size and quality, as needed for the DRG website, product pages, electronic marketing documents, electronic newsletters, etc.

• Ascendis Portal:  Customize SkipJack eCommerce on product page according to client specs

• Conduct administrative tasks (create new User Ids, add new courses, update course information, etc.)

• Create usage report job aids based upon client/team requests

• Set up, test and first line troubleshoot unique issues for product/course offerings

• Assist Administrator with user administration, development and testing , as necessary

• Contact LMS provider for user issues, as necessary

• Set up new client users (and assign new courses)

• Coordinate/distribute electronic information requests from experts &  Ascendis team members;  manage and follow-up on requests to team members

• Conduct research on new learning design and development tools, as necessary

• Update/maintain Basecamp hierarchical structure, new users, project files, etc.

• Archive completed project files on DRG external hard drive & Basecamp document management system

• Create/document internal processes related to the above responsibilities

• Format Excel worksheets received for Access consultant Database

 Download list of bounced and unsubscribed emails bi-monthly;compare to recent updates/adds, and format in Excel  for prioritizing

• Coordinate/distribute eLearning course communications with experts & Ascendis team members

Requirements

Here are the more technical qualifications.  Of course, we are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented person with  solid interpersonal skills, who has knowledge of instructional design principles and can take process interdependencies into consideration when prioritizing and following-up on work:

• Basic knowledge of eLearning development software (Articulate, Captivate, Flash, etc.)

• Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems

• Intermediate experience and knowledge of image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, etc.)

• Intermediate experience and knowledge with Microsoft Excel workbooks

• Intermediate, (advanced a plus) experience and knowledge of Access, including appends, queries, reports

• Strong working knowledge of HTML and database structures

• Willingness/ability to learn new technologies/software/tools, as needed

• Excellent technical problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills

• Knowledge of key principles of design and usability: color, graphics and images
