I am looking to implement gamification in my courses, but I don't have the development time to scratch build gaming elements. A good solution may be gamification templates. I have looked at eLearning Brothers and Rapid Elearning Templates.
Does anyone have any additional suggestions or experience in this situation? I'm open to ideas and am not necessarily married to the template solution.
Love this topic, thanks for bringing it up. Here's a link to a past Weekly e-Learning Challenge that was all about building games (Create a Simple E-Learning Game). Also, this week's challenge is building games for kids (E-learning Games for Kids). You might want to have a peek at some of those creations and see if any of the templates or source .story files that have been made available there can work for your projects needs.
Also, I thought I'd share a few past interesting forum discussions on the topic of gamification, just in case you're interested in reading through there and making sure you're using games for the right reasons (and not just because it's a "cool thing" to do right now).
Her'e's an article about Gamification that I wrote that I think you'll like. It's also a few years old but the information is just as accurate today as the day it was written :)

Hey Devon!

You can also check out the Storyline Free Downloads section, I know there are a bunch of game templates there (including here, here, here, and here.).

Hope this helps! Good luck, and if you can, report back on what you ended up going with!

Hi Nicole,
Are there any latest info/ guidelines/ templates on gamification? A lot of articles are quite old -2.3.4 years ago.
Thanks
