Hi Community! I'd like to share a template that is a simple way to deliver content to learners. Learners can engage with the information, getting just the basics or diving deeper into more detail by clicking on the sidebars to reveal more information. Hope this is helpful to some of you!
Thanks for sharing. Gives me a whole new way of looking at things.
Also like the use of Hot Spots. I've been using rectangles with decreased transparency. Love learning new things and expanding my knowledge through the community.
Thanks for sharing Tonya. I really like this navigation. I'll try some of these ideas for the next tutorial I create - I do a few "get started with..."
Modern minimalist look and limited amount of content on each new topic. Better then powerpoint for presentations. I like it. This method should be made into a template in storyline and rise..as free update. Easy instructions on how to change theme colors.
I am new - on a Mac, what do I need to do if I get the message: There is no application set to open the document “Getting_Started_Guide_Template_2019.story”.
Hi Doug - go to player properties and click text labels, then find the button that you want to change and edit the custom text column (just keep in mind that this modifies the button wherever it is used throughout the entire course).
Hi Angie - I think you need to select Storyline as the application to open the file. If you just want to view the course demo, click on the Demo link above.
Do you have Storyline installed, either Articulate 360 or Storyline 3? Sounds like you don't have the program. If you do, open the program and then this file. There's a way to change the default programs that will open a file but I'm not sure where on a Mac (I believe under System Preferences) but you would still need the program to be installed.
I see it can be the cornerstone template for an On-The-Job e-Learning Programs, AFTER adding assessment components to it to measure the training effectiveness and linking it to employee's performance management system.
However, the slide transition is always Push From Bottom. That is perfect when using the next/down chevron. But it does the same transition for the previous/up chevron, which looks odd. Does anyone know how to add two transitions to one slide?
Hi, I am completely new and was working through a great page called Getting Started with Storyline 360 and Storyline 3. I had about a week off and it is no longer available.
Hi Jeff. I'm not quite sure why that didn't work for you, but you can explore our Getting Started tutorials from here: https://community.articulate.com/series/getting-started-with-articulate-360 If you're subscribed to Articulate 360, we also rolled out a new Articulate Training site with loads of on-demand video tutorials and recorded webinars you can watch. You can also sign up for live upcoming webinars on that page.
Thanks Trina, I found the page you recommended. What a relief :) The one I was working on before had 23 tutorials in a nice structured layout. It is now 154 which appears a bit more daunting. Anyway it is good to have it now. Thank you.
With all the changes to Storyline 360 over the past couple of years, we realized it was time to refresh our video tutorials. So we retired the outdated getting started tutorials and launched the new Articulate 360 Training website, which has hundreds of on-demand videos and live webinars. Articulate 360 Training is included with your subscription.

Hi Tonya, great look and feel. thank you for sharing.
Can I ask how you modified the submit button on the player to an Exit button?

Thanks Tonya, excellent explanation. Yes, I figured it must be for all references, but I couldn't remember how to change it.

I'd love to know how to apply two different transitions as well!
Thanks Tonya. Loved the template.

What happened to all the previous tutorial videos that were on Getting Started with Storyline 360 and Storyline 3?
https://community.articulate.com/series/getting-started-with-storyline-360
There used to be
Adding Content to Your Slides - 3 videos
Adding Interactivity - 10 videos
Adding Quizzes - 3 videos
Creating Screencasts and Software Simulations - 3 videos
Working with Accessibility Features - 1 video
Customizing the Player and Publishing Your Course - 3 videos
All the above links just takes me to this page
https://community.articulate.com/series/storyline-360-getting-started
I can no longer find the above video tutorials
I can only find the Articulate 320 Training page now and there is only a handful of videos that don't have anywhere near the information that was in the above mentioned videos

Can anyone help?
