Getting Started Page for Learners

May 31, 2021

Hi all,

I've been cruising through everything and maybe I'm using the wrong words to search. I'm looking for examples of good getting started/navigation pages for users. Not overall menu bars, but a page or something that says, click next and prev at the bottom to move forward and back, use the hamburger icon on the side to expand the menu. The basics of how the users can navigate the player. Is it intuitive? To an extent, but it is something we should all be including.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I had it for one of our course. Shall search it for you.

I feel it is important. The reason being not all the learners are tech savvy and there are times when they are not sure of how to close the course and ends up completing the course 2 3 times. Not the kind of experience, you want to give them.

Hi Hailey and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! 🙂 I just want to chime in and share a few navigation instruction resources to give you more options. Trina Rimmer wrote this article that includes three different approaches to course navigation. You can also view the example or download the file. I hope that gives you more ideas for your project!
