Hardware Simulation
May 14, 2013
Hi everyone,
I know Storyline does a fantastic job of software simulations, but has anyone ever used Storyline to design and develop "hardware" simulations? I'm thinking maintaining or configuring hardware. Say, something like a simulation to teach you how to hook up your TV to a DVR and a DVD player going through all the cable options, what to connect what to what...things like that. Any examples you can share?
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick I have not built a hardware sim yet but it could be done very easily in Storyline.
You may would like this storyline example of coffee machine.

Hi Rick!
I was just digging around for the same link Anu gave you. Definitely check it out and explore the different sections. It's a good example of different ways hardware can be explained and demonstrated.
Hi folks,
I just checked out the Anu's link. Thanks Anu! That is very nicely done. It's not exactly what I'm looking for, yet it is very well done.
I'm looking for an example of actually taking some hardware apart, putting it back together, and connecting cables to it. Or, at least something close.
Thanks, all,
Rick
What about inserting a video of 'how to' and then having a drag and drop of static objects (clipped from a pic of the finished item) to check understanding? Is that what you're after? Otherwise, give us some more details...it sounds intriguing!
