My company is looking into buying microphones to go along with our training courses we are developing and are specifically looking for headset microphones so that they are more portable between locations. Can anyone recommend one/a few?
It is not a headset microphone, but I use a Blue Mic Yeti. It is not very big, and I drag it all around the building when I need to record audio. I love it.
I agree with Keith. I have the Blue Snowball, and it is portable enough for recording wherever and whenever you want. I'd recommend purchasing a Portabooth to go with it, to get cleaner recordings.
I look at what podcasters are using for audio equipment. I found this link that talks about several headset mics, rates them, and provides audio samples.
If you can not afford a portabooth for a long time, I used a big Rubbermaid container and glued memory foam mattress to the inside walls of it. I got studio quality audio out of it.
