I have created some slides with markers and "tabs" I will call them; that when clicked on, show a layer of content. I am trying to figure out to configure the trigger or maybe the variable of the "NEXT" button to not allow the end user to move to the next slide until each "tab" or marker is viewed/ selected? I have a screenshot of the one slide with the tabs.
Any assistance in how to set the trigger to do this is so greatly appreciated!
Ok, that is a little trickier. You will need to create true/false variables to do this.
Instead of trying to describe it, I have included a story file that shows how to do this. Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.
Note that in my example I only set up 2 markers - for 3 makers you will need 3 variables and add 3 triggers for each marker. I hope this makes sense.
OK, I have tried this, and we no luck--- I looked at the Variables and it looks like Variables are for a project, and the numbers runfrom each slide to the next slide?
Example on Slide 1 - I use variable 1 & variable 2
Slide #2--if I used any variable the numering would start at number 3? Since it is in the same project- yet on a new slide?
Sorry-- for so many questions- was given 2 weeks to learn the software and produce a module--
Attached a picture of the slide and the tiggers--
I am wanting the 3 "boxes" to be clicked on before enabling the "next" button- it is set as disabled in the inital state.
I am a bit confused. I thought you wanted a solution for hovering over a marker. Based on the picture you attached, the first solution I mentioned should work. Can you send your story file so that I can see what you are trying to do.
No worries, for the picture with the 3 boxes, you do not need variables. You can use visited or selected states. I will try to put an example together for you.
can you tell me if you a are displaying any content when they click the boxes? If yes, are how is it displayed?

There are a number of ways you can do this but start by adding states to all your buttons.
1. Add a disabled state to the Next button - and set the initial state to disabled for this button.
2. Add a visited state to each of the tabs that show the content slides.
3. Add a trigger that says change the state of the next button to normal when the state of tab1, tab2, tab3, etc are set to visited.
how can I do this with makers to set the "Next" button to return to "normal" when all 3 markers have been hovvered over?
Thank you.

Take a look at this example to see if this is more in line with what you are trying to do.
