Help in Viewing All Sections Before Able to Move On

Hi-
I am new to Articulate Storyline and need some help in figuring out interactions for a course I am developing. For each lesson, I have a desktop that has three sections that the user can view in whatever order they like (see screenshot attached). After they finish each section, they are taken back to this desktop. I want to make sure they have viewed all three sections before moving on to the next lesson (and next desktop). I am not sure how to do this. I was thinking I could set up variables and when they were true (section viewed) for all three sections, the Next button would appear, but again, not sure how to do this. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sue

Hi Sue, create a unique true/false variable for each of your sections. Set the default value for each of these variables to false.
Then on the last slide in each section, add a trigger to adjust the value to true.
On the desktop slide, add a trigger to hide the next button when the timeline starts. Then add a second trigger to change the next button to normal when the timeline starts if the values for each of the variables is true.
Make sure the slide properties on your desktop slide is set to initial state when revisited.
Thank you SO much, Nancy! I can't tell you how helpful your simple, step by step explanation is to me. The only question I have is why I would want to set the desktop slide to the initial state when revisited. What does that do in this scenario?
That ensures that the triggers run from the beginning each time the learner returns to the desktop slide. It might not be necessary but I find that when I leave it set to automatically decide I sometimes get strange results.
Ok- that makes a lot of sense. I just got through implementing all of this and it works perfectly. Can't thank you enough for your help with this. Really appreciate it!
