Help with simple math and variables

I have a slide where I want a number input to feed into a math addition problem that shows the sum (this works) and then divides that sum by a fixed amount (which works in the background but doesn't display correctly).  (1) I remember seeing something about this and passing variables but can't find it anymore (2) Can anyone explain what I need to do to fix it?
