How to configure icons with different colors after viewing

Jun 25, 2020

Hello, Everyone. My name is Raphael I'm from Brazil.

Please, can you help me with my doubt?

I'm building a training and I have a slide with many buttons that redirect to other contents other slides. After the participants view the contents, they return to this first slide, but I would like the buttons that have already been viewed, to change color to differentiate between those already viewed and those not seen. Does anyone know how to do this? I have attached some slide as an example of what I am talking about. Thanks a lot!

Hello Raphael,

I would normally do this by creating another 'State' called 'Complete' for the button(s). The 'Complete' state would be a greyed out version of the button.

Then, on the final slide of the topic they have visited, I would put a trigger to "Change state of ..." to change the state of the relevant button 'Complete'.

Hi Raphael,

As Mike suggested above you may want to create a custom state like Complete if you're tracking that learners have viewed all the slides you've sent them to. This is very useful!

An easier way would be to use the built-in states. The Visited State would work well for this.

The advantage of using a built-in state like Visited is that you don't need any additional triggers to make them function. Once the learner clicks the button it will change to the visited state automatically.

You'll want to make sure that your slide is set to Resume saved state when revisiting. If your slide restarts, your states won't work as intended.
