How to display a tick when a Module is completed (Triggers)

Hi

I've developed e-learning which has 5 modules.  Each module must be completed in the order displayed before moving to the next module.

For example the following is the order of the each learning module:

1  Introduction

2  Principles

3  What this includes

4  Responses

5  Implications

I would like to display a tick against a module when the learner has completed it. 

Advise will be greatly appreciated

See attached an example of one possible solution, with seven menu items. The checkmark is part of each button's Visited state (or you can set up a custom state). At the end of each section, a variable is set to true. Back at the menu, each button's state is changed as a section is completed. Hope that makes sense.
