How to edit flash/swf files

I have several modules that were designed by an outside vendor prior to my joining our company. These modules need to be updated. The challenge is the vendor inserted Flash/SWF in the Engage 09 tabs.  When you open the Engage Tab, there is no text in the main frame (Image 1 in attachment).  When you click ‘Edit Properties” , it is showing the flash/swf file.

Does anyone know what type of software to use or how I would go about editing these files? I am attaching one of the modules needing to be updated. The tabs I am talking about are Slides 8-10.  In the source files, I have a .fla and .swf for each of the slides/tabs.

Needless to say, I am at a loss as to how to proceed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheryl
