Recently I have been utilizing interior design retailers or home repair store sites to access some images. Many retailers have the images available to be able to create interior design plans. You may have to be careful of copyright though.
I have searched for
Wallpaper (the stuff you put on your walls at home)
Carpet
Leather
Paint
Fabric
Flooring (wood, tiles, etc...)
I got the idea of textures from sesamestreet.org they use images of the puppets fur as a loading image.
