How to replicate phenomenal interactive www.codecademy courses?

Aug 31, 2014

I have a question for whoever might want to think about this. check out the interactive site for learning code:http://www.codecademy.com

I have loads of books on HTML and CSS, but books do not seem to work for me ( things don’t really stick)…I am taking the site’s interactive website building course involving these topics. It’s such a pleasure. Every step is an interactive one. As I learn more, I am asked to do more, but all learning occurs in small chunks.

If you wanted to build a site such as this with Articulate products, which product would work? Many, thanks to you wonderful people in the Articulate community.

It probably wouldn't be entirely possible in Articulate products That Website is highly interactive, and customized with extensive code. I've taken some courses on that Website a few years ago, and it's been designed over the years to get it to the nice state that it's in now.

So, you should take some of the courses on there to learn some coding knowledge (JavaScript is a good one to learn for interactivity)! It's definitely better than reading books!

You might be able to do something fairly close in terms of interactivity with Articulate Storyline though. It would take a good amount of time and work.

Yes, Storyline is good for software simulations and such. It lets you record your screen, then adds different interactive features to the screen recording clips, so that the user must interact with it in such a way before it moves on. Of course, all of these interactions are up to you to modify so they behave in the desired way.

So yes, Storyline is good for some good quality simulations/interactions. Though the Website you brought up is somewhat different in it's scope and general idea behind it to teach coding.
