Identifying RGB from picture

Jul 17, 2014

Hi All,

I know I read somewhere about a tool where you can color match an image to an RGB number. Can anyone tell me what that tool is?

I want to match the colors in this but I'm not sure of a tool that I can do it with and I don't trust my own judgement. Any ideas?

I've used the eye-dropper/Select Color From Image option in SnagIt, which is available under Outline or Fill if you have a tool selected that allows you to assign a color (e.g., pencil or fill tool). When you move the eye-dropper around the screen, a pop-up shows the RGB value of the color you're hovering over.

If you've got Storyline, the formatting options include More Fill Colors and More Outline Colors. Those also have an eye-dropper tool for selecting a color from anywhere on the screen. However, the RGB value won't appear until you click a color.
