Image compression in PPT 2010?

Apr 26, 2012

Ok, I skimmed the forums, blogs, etc & didn't see my question, so here it is: Back in PPT 2003, I could just click "Compress Image" & -BINGO!- it was done; can I still do that in PPT 2010? I'm not seeing it anywhere. I'm NOT savvy with Paint & haven't any image compression tools, nor do I understand the first thing about image compression. It seems like my files have gotten very heavy & extremely slow to publish, so I'm hoping that compressing the images will help.

Any suggestions are VERY welcomed!

Thanks in advance!

Kate- if you come across something like this again, Microsoft has a great interactive guide where it will show you the old screen, then you can click thru the command you know and then the screen flips and shows you how to do it in 2010. This link will take you to the list of Office products. Just click the PowerPoint icon
