Does anyone have any advice for how to locate an unpaid, instructional design internship, ideally one that would allow me to work remotely? This is my last requirement to complete my masters in Instructional Design and Technology; however, it's not just about checking off this last box. I realize that I need to learn the "real world" aspects of this career if I am to transition to this field in the future. Thanks in advance!
You should also talk to your professors and the career center at your university. They may have some suggestions for businesses that have had past students as interns.

KeelWorks has part time, virtual internships available. http://keelworks.org/opportunity.htm
