Instructional Design Templates

Looking for some advice for software or tools to make the instructional design planning process more efficient.

At the moment we use a MS Word template to complete the ID process (adding Learning Goals, Learning Objectives, Learning Items/Activities etc.). We work with Subject Matter Experts to fill in all the detail and it goes back and forward before being finalized. It's time consuming and admin heavy. 

Articulate 360 and (Rise and Review in particular) has created so much efficiency in the development of our eLearning that we're trying to create the same efficiency in the Design phase too. 

Anybody got any tips, tools or ideas to share to help with this?
