Interactive table

Jan 19, 2018

I built an interactive table in Storyline (Articulate 360) on questions related to assertiveness. The user is expected to answer "YES' or "NO" to each question and these are added up at bottom of the column. But it is possible for the user to double click on a "YES" or "NO' and the total records this in the sum. Also, the user can click on the "YES" and the "NO" in the same row. This should not be allowed. What options do I have to prevent these two issues from happening?

The simplest thing would be to add 2 actions to each button when clicked so that after it updates the score it disables the selected button AND its counterpart button. For example:

Button 3
Add 1.00 to variable2 when the user clicks
Change state of Button 1 to disabled when the user clicks
Change state of Button 3 to disabled when the user clicks

This means the user's first impression and selection is set in stone which is typically what you would want with a questionnaire like this.
