Interesting ways of embedding a course leader into a course

Hi

I recently created a course with an animated course leader (see attached) for the client. They wanted something bright and breezy so the animated approach worked well.

However I now have another client who is after a similar course but really is not keen on firstly having a central presence on the course and it being animated.

I'm a big fan on having a consistent presence so will try to talk them into having that but am interested in hearing how others have bought a central course leader into their courses, away from a bog standard animated or stock real life character?
