I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for the viewers of a stroyline project to upload a picture or record an audio file (i.e. their voice) as they are proceeding through.
I use Articulate Storyline 2.
Ideally, this file would be codeable to the particular slide or layer they provide for.
I'm sure someone else may have a better suggestion here but my thought would be using JavaScript and variables to submit the image or audio file somewhere. I don't think you can submit things directly into a Storyline output and store it (although I may stand corrected).
You can use JavaScript to output variables to a Google spreadsheet so you could potentially use a similar technique to output to a database using PHP or ASP where it submits into a database the file. On the other hand it may be easier to externally create a PHP or ASP page with all the submit and upload features and then embed it as a web object, but your tricky part would be passing the variables to that form to indicate Name, slide number, etc.
Would be an interesting project to try out....just wish I had the time to try it myself.

Not in storyline no. But as stated above, you could use some kind of web object which would be embedded into storyline.
You can't have dynamicaly created variables in storyline either though, so if you wanted storyline to do much with the results, you'd be out of luck.
Thanks a lot for the feedback.
Looks like I've got some digging to do.
