Right now, there isn’t a way to do that in Rise 360. It sounds like this would improve your experience authoring. Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more?
In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!
The text-to-speech function is dependant of the Notes tab... which cannot be updated dynamically. For instance, you cannot link a text variable to the Notes tab to add its content as the user moves along.
Side question: can a published Storyline even generate files? I'm asking this because the TtS file generation is done by the software, but once published, your course isn't linked to the software anymore.
I could see the user filling out a text box and have the course generate a TtS audio using the text written in that box, linked to the text variable that goes with it.
I just wanted to jump in here and say that while you can use the text in the Notes tab to generate text-to-speech, you don't have to. You also have the option to type the text directly in the text-to-speech window.
However, you're right that the Notes tab can't be updated dynamically.

Hi Octo - when you say people, do you mean the eLearning developer, or do you mean the learner participating in the course?
Yes, the learners!

Thank you Allison. This is for SL 360 though. Will log a feature request!
Yes, sorry I wrote the wrong thing! :)

Hope that's helpful!
