Job Description – Instructional Designer

We are looking for an additional Instructional Designer for fast pace, high turnaround team in Issaquah, WA. This individual will be responsible for our clients learning/training needs analysis then designing, developing and implementing learning solutions to meet those needs. You must be independent and able to drive your own design focus as well as demonstrate initiative within the project. You will be responsible to attend project related meetings and participate in collaborative discussions focusing on support training initiatives and goals on a wide range of topics. This team’s curriculum is evolving and requires someone that can adapt to the demands and changes that come each week. This client prefers candidates that are independent, leaders in their own work, and for this role they need to take their training to the next level.

Required Skills

Use of Articulate Storyline, to develop and deploy technology based learning solutions. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Adobe Captivate and TechSmith Camtasia is a plus.

Typically requires 5+ years’ experience.

Must be creative, and be able to apply your ideas to your design and content.

Requires related professional experience in instructional application design and development.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and training management.

Experience in project management for training design and development.

Experience in the development of instructional content that can be delivered via instructor led training, online, or other identified means applicable to the team’s initiative and project needs.

Work will be a mix of onsite in Issaquah and remote and will need to be completed during normal business hours of 8am to 6pm. This team is very fast pace, demanding of high quality, but people I’ve already placed love the team and the work.

Education

Bachelor Degree required/Master’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Out of the box instructional design

Be super creative

Experience with adult learning, social learning, and e-learning

Instructional design for phone, chat and email support agents

Great communications skills

Timeline

You must be ready to move quickly. We’ll need to see resumes this week and set up interviews next week so that a decision can be made by the end of the month. Start date is ASAP. End date is June 30 due to contracting rules but will likely be extended.
