Jobs Hub

Nov 14, 2015

I'd like to make a couple recommendations for the Jobs Hub, but I don't have a way to do that directly.

I would like to be able to comment on job listings. For instance, there was an opening a few months ago that linked to a recruiter's profile in LinkedIn. If you weren't already connected to the recruiter, you could not send an inquiry to her. It would have been helpful to be able to post a comment in the listing that informed the recruiter about that issue. There have been other instances of jobs that I would like to make comments about the posting, but do not see a way to do that.

I would also like a way to comment about the Jobs Hub itself. For instance, I think it would be helpful to add a Telecommute category. The Remote category does not exactly describe the situation of a telecommuter who actually needs to be at a specific location, but is not required to go into the office every day.

Finally, it would be nice to have a category structure which divides w-2 from 1099 opportunities. Unless Apple or Google are calling for me ;-), I'm not really interested in a w-2 position. If possible, I'd like to sort those out of the mix before I review the opportunity.

Looking forward to your response. Many thanks in advance!

There are a few different places you can look for job postings. One option is to search online job boards like Indeed or Monster. You can also check out the website for your local Chamber of Commerce, as they often have job listings. Finally, you can always stop by your local businesses and ask if they are hiring.
