Sorry if this question comes across as incredibly vague but could you advise me on any sources that I can keep up to date with current trends in e-learning?
That's a really good question! One of the ways you can stay up-to-date is through what you're already doing, which is participating in this E-Learning Heroes Community. This is the biggest and most active e-learning community so here you'll find discussions pertaining to all current and newcoming trends, especially in the Building Better Courses Forums. You can also check out the E-Learning Examples hub, to see all kinds of cool and unique ideas, often incorporating some of the latest trends or features. The main page of the community also has tons of articles (which I write many of!) that are updated weekly, and we're always trying to write about the new up-and-coming topics whether it be gamification, localization, accessibility, etc. whatever the buzz words are we are writing articles about them, so keep an eye out for our articles. With your Elearning Heroes account you should automatically be signed up for our weekly E-Learning Epiphanies email which curates some of our best content including examples and articles, so check for that in your e-mail (look in your spam if you can't find it).
