I have a slide where I want the user to click a button and have text appear, and then click the next button and the first text stays on the screen and new text appears...and so on for 5 buttons. I have it set up where the layers have the first set of information on it and the 2nd and so on..but the issue is that the text bounces/flashes when I click the 2nd button. It's not smooth. Any suggestions? I had issues when I did multiple triggers.
I'm having the flash issue with preview with your file. I have not upgraded yet b/c I needed to show someone something and didn't want to worry about it.
You have fade in transitions on the slide layers which in some cases can cause the text to display not the way you want however in this case I don't expect are the issue.
But:
On the second and subsequent layers you have repeated the layer text that is why is displays as per the layer and then when the next layer appears it is duplicated over the top.
If you remove from each layer the text boxes that do not relate to that layer it should fix the issue.
This is layer 2 it should only have the text box that relates to layer 2 AND remove all the 'Hide layer' triggers on the buttons on the base layer. I have updated your file attached.

Hi Kathleen
see attached sample with two buttons. You'll need to go into each slide layers properties and deselect 'hide other slide layers'
No, that didn't work. Still bouncing/flashing.
Any other suggestions?
Do you have any animations on the text boxes or any transitions on the slide layers?
Do you want to upload the story file so I can see what you mean?
Sorry I think I replied to the wrong post - did you have another one about having each layer remain on screen?
Sure. Here it is after yours.

Hi Kathleen
a couple of things.

Hope that makes sense.
That worked GREAT! Thank you so much!
No worries Kathleen glad I could help - good luck with your project!
