Leave of Absence eLearning

Feb 19, 2019

Hi Everyone,

I was tasked with creating an eLearning course to give our Leaders an overview of the various Leave of Absences offered, more specifically FMLA.  The SME wants to give them the information on FMLA in the eLearning so that they can come to an in-person training that is more scenario based.

What ideas do you have to make the eLearning engaging?  I want to avoid just tossing information to the participant hoping that it sticks and can be applied in the classroom session.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

You could create a series of mini case study scenarios that expose the need for FMLA. Have them kind of "discover" what you want to teach.

Sometimes it's interesting to flip perspectives. An example from a few years ago: someone was doing training on bedbugs and mattresses. One suggestion was to be a real estate agent for bed bugs. What's their most desirable real estate? :)
