I have to develop a course on Lifting Operations (Health and Safety), the topic is very dry and I would like to build something more than text and image screens. Have you ever build something relevant to this? Any ideas?
we had a course on HACCP and Hygiene and I made a little game in it. It was a muffin shop. You had to click on I think it were 12 muffins and choose wheter they are eatable, not eatable or hazardous to health. Was really fun and colourful.
If you can, you should make games where the learner can experience real life like interactions.
It´s a bit hard to help you with that, because I/we don´t know what your content is. And I don´t even know exactly what lifting operations are (german speaking here). Has it to do with cranes or lifting something like a person in healthcare or a package?
do you have any screen shot of correct and incorrect lifting? I would identify hot spots or issues on the picture and then have the user go through and identify the same with a click or maybe a drag and drop interaction. it takes some thought but you can make a game from very little. I had something dry where i created a marker so they at least were forced to click the content of each marker before they were able to see the "next" button to move on the the next screen.
drag and drops are easy and so are hot spots. I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Maybe this is an inspiration for you. It´s like a little work-save-story.
General speaking the lifting operations have to do with lifting and lowering a load.
