Hi Gail. It sounds to me like this would need to be a feature of your LMS (or other hosting platform). I've worked with content that was accessed by paid subscription and the LMS had a setting that allowed me to grant the purchaser access to the course for a set period of time and then it would expire and require renewal thereafter. 

Have you checked with your LMS vendor to see if this is a feature they offer?
