Looking for Resources in the Children's E-Learning Field...

Jan 19, 2015

Hi Everyone! I'm Marnie and I am new to Articulate. Firstly, I'd like to say what an incredible resource this is! Wow...I am just wondering if I might be able to get a few suggestions from you all...currently, I am a professional freelance Voice Over artist and I specialize in e-learning, narration and authoring  mostly for health and safety, educational and medical industries, which I love, but I am looking to expand my reach into the children's e-learning field..possibly educational, or even games and apps...

Does anyone know of any companies or connections that I might be able to touch base and introduce myself to?

I am sure there are a variety of genres, but sometimes, if you don't know the jargon of a particular industry, it is hard to do research to find the right people to connect with. That's one of the reason's I am so tickled to have found this wonderful community of like minded individuals! Thanks for any help you can share :)

Hi Marnie! Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Sounds like you're a multi-talented person. I think a lot of folks would love to learn from you!

I think there's a lot of interest in e-learning for kids, right now and I think that interest is going to grow, especially as people give their children tablet devices for play and learning. To tap into the rising interest in e-learning for kids, we posted, not long ago, a weekly challenge to the community: Develop a E-Learning Games for Kids. Here's a link to the recap of that challenge with tons of great e-learning examples from the community: https://community.articulate.com/articles/examples-learning-games-kids

Sometimes the comments on these recap articles are a goldmine of ideas so you may want to set aside a few minutes to read through those. Another idea might be to contact some of these folks directly and see if they would be willing to give you some of their ideas for breaking into this field.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Hi Trina...Thank you so much for the feedback. I will definitely have a
peek there and reach out to some of them. Much appreciated! Cheers,

Marnie
