I have designed an online course but when i uploaded it i realized that its quite heavy and guys with lesser internet bandwidth had problems viewing it.so am asking does adding audios and videos make it heavy and how can i manage this problem?....Help please
Spitting really would not have much effect, articulate only loads three slides ahead.
You can get a preloader at elearning enhanced, but you could also look at compressing the videos, using the media server, reducing the audio quality
I would also look at ensuring that you do not have consecutive flash movies to give articulate a chance to catch up with you. Articulate will not load the flash video until you reach the slide so the preloader is really a must if bandwidth is an issue
Thank you Phil.i have already Google articulate preloader..via xml.i hope this works for me but if you have any other awesome one that u could advice me to use kindly do so
No i haven't used any of the pre loaders.Am assuming this will only help me with videos files only..what about audio..is there a way i can also compress them so that they don't make the course so heavy during loading time
Does anyone know how I would use this preloader when my course is published to the Articulate Online service?
I just found a a solution posted by Jeanette Brooks discussing a manual upload proceedure where you can edit the content and then upload to the service - see "ManuallyUploading Your Content to Articulate Online"

Davies,
Possibly, you can try and split these courses into small parts or lessons and then upload it to the internet.

Hey Phil,
Have you used this before? I have spoken with James about the pre-loader, but have yet to pull the trigger.
What are your thoughts?
