Managing tasks and time
Oct 16, 2018
Anyone with some advice on managing both tasks and time for training development, including e-learning? Currently using Trello (great) and Harvest (also great), and thinking about using the Powerups in Trello. Before I do, does anyone know of a system that integrates both, including a mobile app that can easily start and stop tracking time? We are looking at Microsoft's Azure DevOps, but it looks over-complicated for what we need. Has anyone used Taskworld?

If I understand your question correctly, we use Wrike. Its web-based and it is fantastic. It is highly customizable, and we can pull all kinds of analytics out of it.
Thanks Keith - I'll have a look at that one
Have used Trello in various guises (home, life, work) for maybe 5 years now. Has improved a fair bit and some of the Powerups, eg 2-way GCal integration, are handy.
It's not everyone's cup of tea though. IMO it's versatility is a strength and also a weakness. Lots of projects = lots of boards = lots to see and no way of seeing it all in one go. But when you're living a single board/project for a while it's pretty damn good.
Have tried loads of PM tools over the years and not taken to one as much as Trello, eg Wrike, Basecamp, Freedcamp, Nozbe, Mavenlink, Monday, Taskwork, MindMeister and so the list goes on ...
BTW, Teamwork is great for managing details and time tracking etc. The support is first class. But as a tool it does require a fair bit of maintenance from all those involved.
Thanks Simon - there is so many out there now. Agree with loving Trello. I'll have a look at Teamwork. Trello would be great if it could import my Harvest history, but haven't worked out how to do that except manually input the times on each project.
I believe you can integrate Harvest into Teamwork ...
