Mark Bower's 2/11 post in the other forum on HealthStream issues

Feb 10, 2011

HealthStream has always allowed launching of SCORM compliant content, but with the release of their client interface for SCORM in 2009, many loyal Articulate users have very successfully placed their SCORM compliant courses on the HealthStream platform as well.

There are a few points to make sure that SCORM content works well on –any- platform, including the HealthStream LMS:

·         Make sure that it is built such that closing the browser window for the course page also properly and reliably forwards the SCORM tokens

·         Make sure that the tokens match the version of SCORM you are using. HealthStream has a document that can address this that is available from customer service

·         In the HealthStream Learning Center, make sure that the course version with your latest update is published to the student population properly. For example, if you find a logic error in the closing page, then correct that, it must be published so that the new version is in play.

·         Be aware that system time-outs can affect whether the course is marked complete.

·         Pop-up blockers must be off for content, particularly if the launch parameter is set, as is suggested by HealthStream,  to open in a “New Window”

·         Obviously, logic errors with buttons, etc., would need to be corrected.

When in doubt, get an account to test the content at www.scorm.com.
