Matching Drag and Drop Getting Stuck (Flash vs. HTML)

Dec 12, 2017

We are experiencing strange behavior with a published quiz.  Our quiz has multiple choice questions, multiple select questions, true false questions, and 1 single matching drag and drop question.  All of the questions are built using the built-in SL2 templates.  The multi-select and matching questions have JavaScript triggers attached to the submit button.  There is a print button on the results slide that generates the usual built-in SL2 report.  The quiz is published to include HTML5 content in addition to the standard published content and behaves as follows:

1.  When hosted in the SCORM Cloud, all of the questions advance normally with no problem.  However, when you click the print report button on the results slide, no report is generated.

2.  When hosted in our LMS (Oracle), all of the questions advance normally until the quiz reaches the matching drag and drop.  At this question, the slide will not advance to execute the JavaScript.

3.  When playing with published output files to try and determine what's happening here, we can force the content to display as HTML5 regardless of the browser and it behaves similarly to #1 above.  When allowed to choose its own display method (even in Chrome with Flash disabled), it behaves similarly to #2 above.

We've created a small story file that contains just our matching drag and drop format with different levels of complexity to try to determine if it's the JavaScript or triggers affecting the behavior, but we cannot pinpoint the issue.

Any ideas?
