Menu_Player_Selected Item highlight duration

Anyone know of a way to extend the duration of the highlighting of a menu item?

Example: I have three terminology slides. I have taken the second and third slides off of the menu. When the course runs, the player highlights the first slide as expected. When the timeline of that slide ends and the second and third slides are shown the highlight disappears. I would like it to stay highlighted until the next menu item.
