I'm looking at your mind map now and it looks great! You have a nice variety of objects. Also looked at your PowerPoint file to see how you transferred from design map to your course design. The grass, wooden fence, sky blue background and garden mentor look great.
Just curious what terms you used for the fonts and Design Elements. I see the visuals you added, but not the adjectives. For example in the type and fonts section, you have some font styles (Playbill, Rage Italic, Elephant) that could communicate, unintentionally, the wrong message.
Why? Play Bill is more of an old western font style, Elephant is more traditional English... They can work, I just want to see if that's what you intended.
Hi David, Thank you so much for the candid feedback. I wanted something that can remind people about gardening, thats why I selected Elephant and the Play Bill was fitting the leaf structure. Can you suggest some good ones that I could use as fonts for this project.
Hi Cheryl! I think it would help to see the terms you're using to describe the garden topic. Can you share the terms you used that got you to those fonts?
Some of the terms I've used for similar projects included: organic, grassy, natural, earthy and so on. But that might not be what you're after so I just want to learn more about what you're going for before recommending specific fonts. Does that make sense?
I played little with the graphics, and added effects to your first slide.
If I may suggest, your grandma is right in the middle of the slide and leaves little room to objects.
I have a question for you: Why did you set grandma as part of the background? once set you can play with her.\
Another question is: why do you use the white background for grandma and the plant, have you tried transparent color for these objects?
In my eyes, the white background separate the objects from the background.
I really like how you transferred your mind map into a real project, I think that the graphics and the color match, convey the message of freshness and green and organic, all the terms you can associate with gardening.

The terms sounds good, I get the picture now.
I checked your object mapping. Pop Culture..I can't believe it.. no Fried Green Tomatoes?
That is new to me, I will add it to the list. I have heard about Ketchup and Puree...
It's both a southern comfort food and a classic. "The secret is in the sauce."
