Moodle Quizzes
Apr 19, 2011
My organization is switching from QuizMaker to Moodle's built-in quiz feature to perform our post-course assessments. This is mostly because it will make certification in Moodle easier to manage, and partially because I can't easily get question-by-question results for thousands of learners. (For instance, to check the validity of a particular question.)
I'm not particularly enthused by the Moodle quiz feature; it's clunky and isn't learner-friendly. Other than the issues mentioned above, I really like QuizMaker, and will miss many of its features for designing assessment questions. (By the way, I'll still be using QM to create non-graded knowledge checks within the course modules.)
Which leads to three questions:
1. Has anyone used Moodle to create assessments and been happy with the end result?
2. Does anyone have experience with third-party software that integrates with Moodle's assessment capabilities?
3. Finally, am I missing some way to make QuizMaker work better with Moodle?

Hi Mike
we use quizmaker in moodle, and can get it to work with the certificate module. We publish to scorm, the quizmaker file is within an articulate presentation.
Never use moodle quizes

Thank you, Phil. I should be more specific here and say that we're not the typical Moodle user...we have people from hundreds of organizations accessing our courses. It's not a matter of getting the certificate to work, but getting it to work consistently with different course versions and variations.
Dave has a good article on how to use Quizmaker in Moodle.

The above case cannot be your option at all, then read the following posting, especially Jamie Smith's stuff. I am sure you will feel better.
