Moving away from PPT-like, slidebased courses

Nov 08, 2016

Hi everyone.

I'm relatively new to the eLearning world, but was lucky enough to get valuable lessons in both my study programme and past work experiences. I have a rather philosophical question and hope many of you will share their opinion on this:

Do you think slidebased, PowerPoint-like courses will soon be a thing of the past? (And if yes, what would that look like?)

Because I truly think they will be. IMO to really reach the learner, and more importantly the human in front of the screen, learning design has to be far more immersive and "punch-in-the-face", which can't be done with a generic Storyline course. I realise of course this is difficult and problematic with clients, budgets and the like, but I think it's very much possible from a technological perspective.
