I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a way to trigger a learner's selections from slide 1 to appear on slide 2?
For example, I have a list of approximately 16 items. I'd like the user to be able to select top 3 items, then advance to the next slide. Based on learners selections on the previous slide, the new slide displays the top 3 selections.
This is not a test and does not have to be scored for accuracy. Although if possible, it would be nice to make sure they pick at least three items.
Thanks, Wendy! I do like the alternative, however because the original slide is likely to have upwards of 16 choices, I was hoping to suppress all but the three selections to clean up the look. I don't know much about JS, but looks like I'm going to have to learn :(
Ok, I have attached a file for you to take a look at that I think does what you want.
The tricky part with this type of thing is capturing the order of the user selections. The easiest way to do this (at least for me) is to set the initial selection up as a drag and drop exercise.
Note that if you want to make the topics on the section slide clickable, you will have to add 10 conditional triggers to each topic. example: Jump to slide X if topic1 == variable item1 etc.
Take a look at the file and let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Kelly
here is a rough sample that may give you some ideas
If you only want it to return the selected items without the others showing you may need to use JS

You don’t need JavaScript to do this but it will require a bunch of variables and triggers.
Nancy, can you elaborate a little more? Creating variables and triggers will certainly be quicker than me trying to learn JS! :)
